So last night I watched a bunch of great videos from fellow hikers and it definitely put the itch back in me seeing as I haven’t been on a real trail since September 2024 while in Banff.
Sawtooth National Forest as well as Salmon-Challis was some of the most beautiful country I have yet to see in the US (Banff still holds the highest spot for me). It is definitely a do not miss.
I have yet to do the Tetons and its looking like that may be the September 2026 trip – Bridger-Teton.
Missed opportunity for Cibola while in New Mexico and driving the mountains doesn’t count for me. lol
I have found that national forests are way less crowded than the parks and sometimes are even more gorgeous. So, it’s on to a national forest search. Any ideas? Let me know!
I will not be posting any personal pics. I was a victim of identity theft (as well as bank/debit card fraud). Even my mom’s Facebook was hacked and pictures from my dad’s funeral were stolen. Gross. Who does that? It’s been a nightmare trying to get it removed (even fake accounts in my name and likeness) as the hosting site is in Italy. Oh well, life goes on and I have protections in place at this time.
Life is about enjoying it, not stressing about it. And hiking the world is a perfect remedy!
